When we got to the Town of 1770 we did our jobs as usual and then I went down to the beach and made some friends. Their names were Indigo, Max and their little sister (I can’t remember her name). The camp site was right on the beach and it was nice to swim every day. My dad, my brother and my sister went swimming on the tubes over to a sand bar. They took ages and when they got back Emily complained because Dad tried to scare her with shark stories. The guy next to us went out in his boat every morning and he came back with lots of crabs so he gave us some every day. It was my first time of tasting crab and I really liked them. Everyone at the camp site was very friendly and we made lots of friends, there were some young guys with a boat who went out spear fishing. I was interested in what they did so I went and asked them what they caught, they got 6 coral trout, and 6 spanish mackerel. I thought when I was bigger I would like to go spear fishing with my friends Samuel and Jayden.

When we went to Emerald we stayed one night at a ladies camp house and it was very hot. In the morning Jordan discovered an ants nest and all these ants were climbing on Jordan while he tried to wind up the caravan legs. We left there quick smart and on the way out we met a guy who gave a lot of really big red claw.

We drove a bit further to Clermont and there was an awesome dam to camp at and swim. That night we put our own red claw pots in the dam to try and catch some. We got quite a lot of red claw some were big, but not like the ones we were given in Emerald. Mum and Dad saw some Kayaks for sale at the office and started to think about buying some. I was hoping we would get them soon so we could use them at the dam. In the end it didn’t happen, but they said they would look out for some along the way. When we tried to leave Clermont it had been raining all night so we got flooded in. We drove to the bridge and noticed lots of cars and people hanging around and we wondered what the problem was. Then we saw the bridge, it was covered with water. The river was flooding. I was kind of glad that we could stay at the Dam another night.
