Week 17 Highlights

When we were about to leave the Gold Coast I started feeling disappointed and upset. I wish that we could stay at the Gold Coast for a lot longer, but we had to go. The next spot we stayed was Coochin Creek campground. I didn’t really like it because it had heaps of mozzies and flies. Mum bought me some hot wheels cars so Jordan, Emily, Miriam and I made a town and played a big game for most of the time we were there. At Coochin creek they had a big swimming spot so we went for a swim, we tried to catch some fish and I didn’t catch anything. Emily nearly caught a big flathead, but it got away. Dad did manage to catch a flathead, but it wasn’t too big.

When we left Coochin creek we went to Australia Zoo. The first animal that we saw was the Rhinoceros Iguana. The Rhinoceros Iguana was awesome it looked like a rhinoceros but it was a lizard. We saw some crocodiles and we also saw the crocodile show. The crocoseum was cool, because they bought out a crocodile and they got him to stand on his tail and eat a chicken. The other section I liked the most at Australia Zoo was the elephants, they had really big ears so when they got hot they could use them as a big fan. Visiting Australia Zoo was a really exciting day and I liked it a lot.

Our next destination was Inskip Point. It was a peninsular next to Fraser Island. A peninsular is when there is a part coming out of the main land with water on both sides. At Inskip point we went to the beach a couple of times and went swimming. We got some tyre tubes from a tyre place and this was the first time we got to use them. We also went driving on the beach down to Rainbow beach. I thought that driving on the beach was really, really fun.

I thought it was a good week but I also thought to myself I wish I was back at the Gold Coast!
