This week we were finally going to the theme parks, I felt happy and excited and a tiny bit scared. I had been waiting for this week since we started the trip.

Wet and Wild was the first park we visited, I loved it because it had a really cool playground it had a big bucket that tipped out 1000L every time it dumped. The playground was called bucanner bay and it had a pirate theme. Levi and I played there while Dad, Emily and Jordan went on the scary rides. We found some cool water guns to squirt on everyone else, even the life guards. My favourite ride at Wet n’ Wild was the Mammoth Falls. You got to sit in a big raft with 6 people and went down a big slide where you moved from side to side. Sometimes it felt like the raft would go off the edges.

The next day we went to Movie world. I thought some of the rides were a bit scary and I wasn’t tall enough for the lethal weapon or the superman escape. The main street looked cool, and I like all the shows especially Scooby Doo Disco Detectives. I had my photo taken with Bugs Bunny and Wonder Woman. We also went on the road runner rollercoaster. We watched Journey to the Centre of the earth in 4D and water got sprayed at your face. It was a bit scary. To finish the day we watched the Grand parade, it was cool because we got to see all the characters at the same time and I especially liked Wonder Woman.

Dreamworld was awesome, they had lots of rides which were good for me. My favourite ones were the Nickolodeon Run Away Raptor rollercoaster, the Cyclone and the Sponge Bob Fly Pants ride. When I was riding on the rollercoaster it felt so good having the wind rushing past me, my tummy felt like I had butterflies and I loved the feeling. We saw Sponge Bob, Patrick, Dora the Explorer and Jimmy Nuetron. Dreamworld was my favourite theme park so far.

We decided to have a more relaxing day on Friday and went to Seaworld. They had lots of shows to watch, I really liked the pirate show. The pirates had a huge ship they jumped off it and landed in the water. I would have liked to climb on the ship and jump off too! We also watched the fish detective show, the main character was Buddy & Clyde the sea lions, they were very funny and I thought it was amazing they could do the tricks, like climb the stairs and slide down the slide. Seaworld had a couple of rides too, I liked the Jet Rescue ride. We also had a turn on the sky climb which was lots of ropes and things high off the ground. I had to wear a harness to walk across the ropes and beams. At first I was nervous but I got more relaxed and felt safe with the harness on so I climbed higher. Sea world was a nice way to finish the week.

The last park to visit was White Water World, it was a lot like Wet n’ Wild but I still had fun. We went down slides and I like the Rip and the Hydro Coaster. Mum even came on the slides with us. It was getting cold and started raining so we didn’t stay too long.

It was fun being on the Gold Coast, we had so many awesome days and I loved the theme parks.
