Week 14 wasn’t as exciting as week 13. Although I was absolutely stoked. Finally the sun had come out and we were at a caravan park right next to the beach! What a perfect location. So off course when the sun is out you definitely needed a beachy place to stay, and Valla Beach served as the perfect location. To cut a long story short we arrived at the Valla Beach Caravan Park and set up our stuff then ran down to the beach where we were pummelled by the oncoming swell but Levi, Miriam and I didn’t seem to care the slightest and ran in, head on, to the rapidly rushing waves.
Early the next day everyone had been aroused from their sleep because the suns penetrable rays had glistened through the windows and it didn’t take too long before it had heated up the whole van. Consequently we were all up and ready to head into Nambucca Heads to explore a little and pass the time. We also needed to get knew wheels for the caravan. Nambucca Heads was a lovely little surfy town and had a lot of friendly people. I think everyone enjoyed it and we were all enthralled by the mosaic on the side walk.
After our stay at Valla Beach we decided to go and see what Tweed Heads could possibly offer. When our long trek up there was over, we were ready to check into and inexpensive caravan park for 2 nights. Unfortunately though Tweed Heads “thought” they had a lot to offer. Their caravan park rates were immensely expensive and we could not even understand why. Instead of staying longer in N.S.W we decided we would just go to Queensland early. To our utter exhaustion we stayed at a caravan park in Currumbin right across from a fancy Hotel called Palm Beach. OOOooooHHhhhh, and directly across from the beach, AAAaaaaHHHhhh.
At about lunchtime the next day we were starting to get pretty bored and decided we would go to Time Zone in the Gold Coast. It was heaps of fun and I enjoyed playing all of the games. After our Power cards had expired we decide we would go and claim our prizes. Jordan got a miniature basketball, Levi got a few little doohickies, Miriam got some clips and I got an Inflatable…….. DORA hammer. I was stoked.
Since road works were going on around the shopping centre it was a little hard to get back on the Gold Coast highway. We eventually got back on what we thought was the Gold Coast Highway but it actually happened to be the Gold Coast 600 race track. We were actually driving on a real life race course in our massive bulky Nissan Patrol. It was awesome. We even passed the pit stop were all the crew were getting the cars ready it was heaps cool. Although this week wasn’t a momentous occasion I still think it was a pretty significant week and I had so much fun.
