Week 4: Review

The start of week 4 was just like any other boring day. We drove from Mildura to Adelaide which took a long endless 4 hours. We arrived at the cravan park which was located in the middle of the glorious city of churches. That morning I thought it was going to be the same old routine drive, arrive, set up, shower, have dinner.

Today was nothing like the same old routine because we had to make a detour to the hospital at 6:00pm. We had to go to the hospital because mum hurt her back while trying to move stuff around the caravan. I guess everyone was in shock so the trip to the hospital felt like a century. Fortunatly we did arrive safe and mum was taken right away. We waited and waited in the hospital room for any sign that she may be okay. Dad looked like he had a dark cloud hovering over his head until he was finally aloud to visit mum. He came back and reported to us what he had been told and we just had to sit and wait ’til the doctor came and saw her. It wasn’t until 9: 30 pm we decided to go have a looked for a Hungry Jacks, but arrived back at the hospital empty handed. Dad went and visited mum again while we watched the footy on the TV in the waiting room Collingwood vs Geelong. Dad came back tellings us mum had have an X-ray and was on pain killers for the time being. We were told it would take about half an hour for the X-ray but what seemed to be half an hour turned into 2 very long hours until we noticed it was 11pm we decided to have another try at scouting for a Hungry Jacks this time with a belly full of food. Dad then took us back to the caravan before he went to fetch mum from the hospital.

Sunday morning our 2nd day in Adelaide Dad brought up the idea that Jordan, levi,Miriam and I go for a walk with him into town to let mum rest. While walking through Adelaide we went to Rundle Street Mall. Feeling sorry mum couldn’t come shopping with us we decided to buy her a box of Lindt chocolate ( we even bought her the bigger box hoping she might share it :) hehe).

We went back to the caravan park with our chocolate in our hand a handful of memories in another hand and Jordan with his French Dictonary. We all thought we may have showers then eat lunch. Dad thought it was best that mum have a little walk so we all trekked around to the corner to the deli to grab a newspaper.
We journeyed back to the caravan and then Jordan,Levi,Miriam and I pulled out our memory holders to relay our facts and thoughts onto paper to cherish and hold. Miriam and Levi were done in racing time but as for me I was editinig my week 3 review post and also replying and sending emails. I eventually got a page of my scrap book done.

I bussied myself for the rest of the day until dinner time which was fortunatly before 11pm. I then hit the sack and fell into deep sleep with wonderful dreams which I am not going to share hehe! :P

Day 3 in Adelaide we decided to walk into town again and go to the Food Market. It had everything from Fruit and Veg to Bagels, Cheese, Nuts, Yogurt and Gelato! We only got the important stuff. Fruit and Veg was a must after throwing most of it out at the border, we got a nice Yummy thing, a coffee for mum and dad and 2 Naan type of bread things. We found a place to sit down and relax from all the walking around I think I’ve lost a couple of kilos from all the walking, well any way we ate our little feast then carried on our trek. Dad and Jordan ran back to the caravan to grab the car so we could take it to Bridgestone to fix the wheel alingment after all the 4wd exhibitions.

So then I guess we had to walk again to Koorong a christian bookstore. I ran into the store feeling like I was in Paradise. It was so BIG! First I ran to the Youth Fiction and found what my heart was searchng for ………. The Robin Jones Gunn classic Christy & Todd the college years. After I found what I was searching for I went and had a look in the music section of the store and guess whoes album I found the now ever so famous former Year 4 teacher of Cornerstone Christian College Sean W Smith’s Album.

After my moment in Paradise we walked back to the Bridgestone Tyre place watched Survive This and got a delicious but hot, hot chocolate from the machine thing and the best part was You didn’t have to pay how awesome.

We soon got back from a long day ate dinner then settled into bed to read another thrilling chapter of Rangers Apprentice but, like I would know if it was thrilling or not because I was way to zoned out of reality and read my newly purchased book. aaaahhhhh could life get any better?

The next day it was time to say goodbye to our first capital city and go back to the life of camping in some unknown place where its impossible to find a magnet for our already growing collection. That night we stayed near Storm Boy in the Coorong at Coorong National Park. That night we put our Monopoly skills to the test with an epic game of the loved Monopoly with the family. There were ups and downs until most people got out by mum until no one was left to take her wrath. We were all pretty devo that mum had beaten us all but hey no one was hurt ,until the next morning, mum came out red handed for cheating and riging the game thats when the shot gun came out which dad had been saving for my first boyfriend luckily no mothers were hurt in the causing of this scene. Hehe just joking nothing really happened.

Last night we stayed at Mt Gambier where a friend of ours Mrs Deb Harrison was brought up. We once again stayed at a rest area at Mt Shank which is a dormat volcano at the moment. The next morning we woke early, well for holiday standard early, then we climbed up the volcano where we even half adopted a dog until it’s owners came and picked it up at the same time we were leaving.

That day we went and had a look around town and I thought it was pretty cool that their underground caves were in the middle of the town and most of the town lived on top of the massive cave. We couldn’t look around the whole thing because most of it was water and had little lakes in some parts and in others it was just water. I so want to go cave diving for my 21st that would be so cool.

On the way outta town to Port Fairy we stopped at Umberstone cave it was absolutely georgeous imaculate fantastic it was everything I imagined it to be and more. I even plan to have my wedding there because it’s all set out so perfectly with the stairs leading down to this little area in front of lushes green ivey vines that had drooped down over the edge of the sinkwhole and covered all the ugly bits it also has little cleared out bits of green grass with flower beds in between each section which is where I’m going to put the chairs for the guests it’s all so perfect I have everything thing planned out except one minor detail I don’t have a GROOM which mum mentioned. After my long day dream we left to head to Port Fairy which is where I am staying tonight so I guess thats then end of my week summary only 22 weeks to go.
