“Sunday morning. Rise and shine Robinson family, it’s time to head to Kalgoorlie.” First though we need to stop and admire the glorious Sunrise and maybe even have some devotions.
We are travelling down the rocky road to reach Kalgoorlie, the next stop for our trip. This town of the Goldfields is a great tourist attraction with all its antique historic hotels. I was amazed at the variety of shops available such as; Supr`e, Diva and for the guys, EB games, which has a 50% off sale at the moment. We’re going shopping tomorrow! We are even doing some touristy things. I think finally the holiday has started to kick in and it’s not just a weekend trip away. It’s six whole months! Crickey! Wow! But I guess I can live with that.
For the next two nights we are staying at the Prospector Caravan Park. It has a 4 star rating with hot showers, powered sites and even wireless internet connection. On Tuesday, we’re heading off across the Nullabor. We shall cross the border while my class are probably still having recess. I’m going to send a postcard or letter or something tomorrow when we head downtown to Hannan Street (named after Paddy Hannan the founder of Kalgoorlie-Boulder).
Right now I’m sitting on my laptop writing about how much fun I’ve had and how sunny and beautiful it’s been out here. All the while thinking about those of you sitting back home in Busselton in the rain. While I do this I am drinking a nice refreshing Milo with marshmallows and a Milky Way out of my mug which I got from one of my B.F.F’s back at home in Busso (thanks for the mug Johaline, it’s very handy). Anyways, I have to go now and will try to email or send a card back to my friends in Busso!
